Fireboy & Watergirl 7: and Friends brings back the puzzle platform gameplay the series is known for, but this time there are more characters to help. Each level is built around teamwork, timing, and figuring out how every character can reach the exit safely.
The game takes place inside dangerous temples filled with lava pools, water traps, moving platforms, switches, and green acid. Fireboy can move through fire areas, while Watergirl can pass through water. But they still need to avoid each other’s hazards. One mistake can force you to restart the level.
This version adds new helper characters with different skills. One friend can fit through small spaces. Another is strong and heavy enough to move objects or hold down large switches. There is also a character that can jump much higher than the others.
Because of these new abilities, puzzles feel more varied than older games in the series. Some paths only work for certain characters, so you need to think about the order of every move.
The levels become harder as you progress. Early stages are simple, but later puzzles need careful planning. You may need to keep one character on a button while another moves across platforms or opens a path somewhere else.
You can play alone by switching between all characters, or play with friends and share the teamwork. The game works best when players communicate and help each other solve the rooms together.
Some stages focus more on quick movement, while others are slow puzzle levels where planning matters more than speed. Trying to collect every diamond also adds extra challenge for players who want full completion.
Fireboy & Watergirl 7: and Friends keeps the classic puzzle platform style of the series while adding new characters and smarter level design. It stays simple, but the later levels can still be surprisingly tricky.
