Description:
“Dumb Ways to Die: Original” is a captivating casual game that challenges players to protect an animated character, initially labeled as “dunce”, from a multitude of risks. The game was originally a Public Service Announcement (PSA) campaign commissioned by Metro Trains in Melbourne to promote safety. The safety-first message soon gained popularity and was transformed into a video game.
In the game, the player’s goal is to save the characters from potentially risky situations. Some of the situations include running as fast as you can to put out a fire on your character’s head, carefully spreading mustard on your hot dog before a rattlesnake bites your nose, destroying asteroids to avoid getting squashed by them, and spinning your character in the opposite direction of a washing machine’s spin cycle to survive.
The game presents several challenges to complete with the objective of reaching a target score to get to the next character you will have to save. It might seem simple, but the catch is that there is a tight time limit to complete fairly simple tasks. The more time you waste, the faster you have to go. Precision and speed are key to gaining enough points to take you to the next level.
It’s a must-play for those who enjoy casual games with a twist of humor and learning. Enjoy the game and remember, stay safe!
