Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland

Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land is a game that follows a similar story to Kirby's Adventure. It all begins when Kirby wakes up and realizes he hasn't been having any dreams. He suspects something is wrong with the Fountain of Dreams and goes there to investigate. To his surprise, he finds out that the Star Rod, which belongs on top of the fountain, has been stolen by King Dedede, his old rival. King Dedede broke the Star Rod into seven pieces and gave each piece to one of his friends, who became bosses in different levels.

Even though Kirby doesn't know why King Dedede did this, he decides to collect all the pieces of the Star Rod and put it back together. Kirby travels through Dream Land, retrieves six of the pieces, and returns to the Fountain of Dreams. He battles King Dedede for the final piece of the Star Rod and defeats him. Kirby reassembles the Star Rod and puts it back on the fountain, but something unexpected happens. A great darkness emerges and threatens the world. Kirby realizes why King Dedede didn't want him to do it.

Now, Kirby must use the Star Rod to fight against the Nightmares and save the world. He defeats them and even creates a big hole in the Moon in the process. Once the task is done, Kirby returns the Star Rod to the fountain without any more trouble. He forgives King Dedede because he knows that he was only trying to protect the kingdom.
