Mitoza

“Mitoza” is a surreal, choice-based interactive experience created by Gal Mamalya and published by Second Maze. It begins with something as simple as a seed. From there you are repeatedly presented with two options: left or right, each triggering a bizarre, often unexpected transformation. One path might seem innocent, another strange, then the consequences spiral into moments that are whimsical, creepy, humorous, grotesque or absurd. As you follow those choices, life cycles loop back—eventually you return to a seed to try again, curious to see what new outcome emerges. The visuals are 2D with a mix of photographic and cartoonish styles, and the sound design leans heavily on effects to reinforce absurdity. There is no overarching goal beyond exploring the many possible paths and letting the strangeness of its branching narrative wash over you.
