The core gameplay loop revolves around three interlocking activities: collecting, defending, and stealing. Players start with an empty base and a small amount of currency. Brainrot characters — quirky voxel-style creatures based on Italian brainrot memes like Tralalero Tralala and Cappuccino Assassino — appear on a conveyor belt for purchase. Once placed in a player's base, each Brainrot generates passive income every few seconds, with rarer characters earning substantially more per tick.

Nothing you own is truly safe. Other players can walk into your base and physically steal your Brainrots, transferring them and their income to their own collection. Carrying a stolen Brainrot slows you down and prevents item use, while the victim receives an alert and can chase you down. Being too cautious slows your growth, while being too greedy can cost you everything.

Base Defense and Weapons

Base defense centers on a temporary lock mechanism lasting 30 or 60 seconds, during which no one can enter your base. Managing lock cooldowns becomes a key tactical decision, especially when holding rare characters. Players also have access to 6 weapon types for both offensive raids and defensive fights against thieves.

Rebirth System and Progression

The rebirth system adds a prestige layer to progression. By resetting certain progress, players unlock permanent upgrades including longer base lock durations and bonus income multipliers. This rewards long-term strategic planning over short-term accumulation, giving players who rebirth at optimal moments compounding advantages in future cycles.

Additional progression features include a Lucky Spin Wheel for random rewards, 8 character skins with unique stat bonuses purchased from the outfit shop, and leaderboards for competitive ranking. A Brainrot collection index lets players track which of the 220 characters they've found across all 4 unique variants per character, totaling 880 distinct collectibles.
